Gramabharathi in collaboration with Village reconstruction Organization, Nagarjuna University NSS volunteers participated in Plantation activity.

VRO office with around 4 acres of land is now furbished with variety of fruit bearing plants that we bought from Kadiyam nurseries.

Special thanks to Mr. Venu gopal Raju, Director, VRO office who is taking the whole responsibility of providing us the space to plant the sapling in pedakakani and other premises of VRO offices in guntur and prakasam districts. He will be taking the whole responsibility of looking after the plants for coming years

 

Gramabharathi 2017 plans and recap of 2016 activities

It has been a while we spoke.
It is time to recap gramabharathi 2016 and step into 2017 activities.

2016 gramabharathi activities:

    1) purchase of water tanker
    2) Revival of drinking water plant and pipeline setup from Lake to plant in Jaladi

2017 planned activities:

      1) Plantation of saplings (behalf of our beloved family member names) and forestation of selected areas. tentatively starting from July 29th, 2017

      2) Distribution of fruit bearing saplings in Jaladi and nearby villages.

      3) Completion of our 1 lakh plantation drive. So far, we have planted/distributed ~ 25,000 saplings.

      4) Fencing of Jaladi lake partly to avoid damaging the Riveting done by ITC ltd. for us in 2015

      5) Discussion of problems being faced by Jaladi water plant (the new bore setup near lake side also giving hard water and plant is getting frequent repairs)

More detailed program for plantation:

1) VRO office is ready to provide their huge compound which has already fenced with walls

2) Nagarjuna University with ~25,000 NCC volunteers that are divided into several groups who takes care of plantation

3) Rotary club premises with their strong members support are ready to plant and care taking 

4) Schools & Colleges with protective compounds.

In either of these cases, Gramabharathi will organize the planation by providing saplings and seek status of the plants for next 2 years.

With the help of Sri C.V. Mohan Reddy Gary, Advocate, Hyderabad and our Gramabharathi members Ghanta Rama Rao and GC babu, We are now equipped with a steel water tanker that can be used for watering plants and to cater the many other needs of villagers.

This was brought to our village for the first time 3 years ago as part of our tree plantation activities.

Water Plant rennovation In Jaladi Village

Gramabharathi has purchased 2.18 CRI pump set and motor (shown in the image with LEO box) and Filmtec 8040 membrane costed a total of INR 63,000 rupees and delivered to Jaladi Village.  Also we need to pay the pending power bill of Rs.35,000 to get the power supply.

At the same time, new bore has been drilled beside Poleramma temple well and with in 80 ft, we got an un-interrupted sweet water supply. Taro 1.5 HP sub immersible motor is setup and pipeline from there to water plant is in progress.  Nimmala Sankara Rao and Jarugula venkateswara Rao are taking care of this activity with the help of villagers and funds from AP government.

 

Meeting minutes and Gramabharathi plans for year 2016

Following resolutions are taken in the meeting held on May 21, 2016:

1) get the water plant repaired in Jaladi Village. It will cost ~ 1,05,000 rupeed

2) get ready to complete the 1 lakh treee plantation program by 2016. so far in last 5 years we have planted/distributed 20,000 saplings covering more than 15 villages in Guntur, Prakasam districts.

3) Get more people involved from the Village to be part of Gramabharathi activities

4) The water tanker purchased in this year is being successfully used by the villagers in Jaladi for the occasional needs

5) Drilling of new bore and pipe line from Jaladi Lake to the water plant is being taken by Nimmla Sankara Rao with the help of Kandimalla Raghu to get funds from the AP government.

1) Recap of our successful project for last year : Lake renovation in Jaladi, Purchase of Water tanker. How they are helping the villagers today?

2) This year projects: Immediate renovation of Water plant in Jaladi, continuation to our 1 Laksh tree plantation program with the help of Nagarjuna University students.

3) Remembering the donors of Water tanker. Plan of thanks giving to ITC Ltd. who did the Lake renovation
