watering of the plants on May 25, 2014
successfully completed watering the Plants on May 25, 2014
covered distances are : Edlapadu -> Jaggapuram -> Jaladi -> Ganesunivaripalem
Needless to say it has rained again on the same day night heavily for 3 hours proving that somebody else is helping us to work for a cause.
Also showing below is the solar street light that is setup near library.
Wish
to thank Ghanta Rama Rao uncle who is behind this idea and setting this
up on his own. Symbolically the plant beside the lamp post was again
from our gramabharathi that we have planted 2 years before (hop eit
won't obstruct the solar panel from getting sun light :-)). If this
street light model is successful and going to work for long term we can
install more in our village. any suggestions here?

Our gramabharathi team is quenching the thirst of astomatous but so
generous to give us shade, cool breeze, keeping environment balanced,
keeping earth more fertile and let it preserve potable water.
Yes, I am talking about none other than our little plants that expects water only for this summer. For next 50 years, they do not expect any thing and will be in giving mode only.
With all this in mind, think of people who are watering those plants at 45 degrees temperature and covering 12km to where we have out little plants (by the way they are not so little, they are almost an year old, check out some of them: https://plus.google.com/photos/117159189074664047684/albums/6012580449175100513?authkey=CNafxYjTk-6a5gE )
Not surprised, I am guilty sitting here in Hyderabad in my house and not able to be there today in Jaladi to share the joy on a hot sunny day.
Other heart that might be pounding to miss this event : Ravipati Chaitanya,
He is on summer vacation to relative's place.
There is nothing you can compensate or compare with for the service and interest they do and show towards our well known picking up momentum
gramabhabharathi program 'Plantation"
They are:
Arjun Jarugula, Kartheek Jarugula, Venkanna Babai Jarugula, Sridhar Cherukuri, Nimmala Phani, Sankar Khambhampati, Surendra Bollineni, Rajesh malladi, venkateh Malladi, Surendra Manukonda, chandu Kondagunta, .....
Let us give them a not only a like in facebook, keep interested to participate for our next mega plantation events in and around our Edlapadu Mandal, medical camp, and more solar street light setups in Jaldi VIllages that are being planned for this July/August/Sep 2014
They day comes that not just few, but everybody realizes the efforts we are putting.
Few pics of then (when we have started plantation) and now (how do they look like): Please visti Jaladi main streets and imagine empty roads that were 4 years before, and feel the change with new big plants.
Check the plants for the 15Km stretch (edlapadu ->jaggapuram (little few in numbers), jaggapuram -> jaladi, jaladi->ganesunivaripalem, Jaladi -> karuchola,), it may take a full day to get snaps of all those many plants.
Doo not touch any plant by chance, because they tell you stories about our grama bharathi members, people from outside of our village who have really helped us in many ways to make a difference by understanding the need to work for a cause.
Get a chance to see the new solar street light pole near the Jaladi library.

Hi All,
As we all know Gram Bharathi is more concentrating on Tree plantation for this year.
As
part that we have distributed fruit bearing plants in our villages as
well as surrounding villages. We can already see many plants are in
fruite bearing stage that we have distributed in last 2 years. As we all know Gram Bharathi is more concentrating on Tree plantation for this year.
So far, We have covered the following 12km stretch:
Jaggapuram to Edlapadu (Fencing not covered)
Jaladi to Ganesunivaripalem (Fencing covered)
Ganesuni vari plame to Sandipudi (Fencing not covered)
Ganesuni vari plame to Sandipudi (Fencing not covered)
Though
we can overcome the watering problem, it is becoming increasingly
difficult to protect from the cattle. Due to limited funds (most of them
are being spent for fencing with prick, we have covered around 550
plants with fencing.
On this Saturday (19th oct), it is planned to cover
the following 15km stretch with the help of the respective villages to
plant the saplings along the road sides:
PATHIPADU <----> GANIKAPUDI <------> KPAARRU <----> THURLAPADU
Please plan to attend or convey the information to the people we are interested in going green for our future.
Also
attached the complete contribution list and expenses report for the
last 4 years that Grama Bharathi has received. Please inform, if we miss
any body in the list.

Mega Tree Plantation even on 9th August, 2014
We have 2 days left before we go to the Village to fulfill the long waiting moment of this year.
Please be in jaladi at 11 AM on 9th August, 2014.
Please follow the tasks as assigned to us on last sunday gramabharathi meet.
If we get enough funding we are planning to buy a water carrying tanker that can be attached to Tractor (that it costs arounf 1 Lakh rupees) . This tanker can be utilized for other needs of villagers as well.
This will answer most of our villagers comment that the planted saplings are not being taken care properly despite of the fact that it is our villagers responsibility who stays there.
Apart from shading tress the following Fruit Bearing saplings (bigger ones that heights around 3 to 6 feet) from famous Kadiyam nurseries:
Please call upon our kith and kins in our village to get these diversified plants and enjoy the fruits in coming years:
(Interesting fact is that many fruit bearing saplings that we have provided last year brought from Kadiyam are already showering with sweet yields in many houses, I will get snaps when I visit the village this time)
