With the help of Sri C.V. Mohan Reddy Gary, Advocate, Hyderabad and our Gramabharathi members Ghanta Rama Rao and GC babu, We are now equipped with a steel water tanker that can be used for watering plants and to cater the many other needs of villagers.

Water Plant rennovation In Jaladi Village

Gramabharathi has purchased 2.18 CRI pump set and motor (shown in the image with LEO box) and Filmtec 8040 membrane costed a total of INR 63,000 rupees and delivered to Jaladi Village.  Also we need to pay the pending power bill of Rs.35,000 to get the power supply.

At the same time, new bore has been drilled beside Poleramma temple well and with in 80 ft, we got an un-interrupted sweet water supply. Taro 1.5 HP sub immersible motor is setup and pipeline from there to water plant is in progress.  Nimmala Sankara Rao and Jarugula venkateswara Rao are taking care of this activity with the help of villagers and funds from AP government.

 

Meeting minutes and Gramabharathi plans for year 2016

Following resolutions are taken in the meeting held on May 21, 2016:

1) get the water plant repaired in Jaladi Village. It will cost ~ 1,05,000 rupeed

2) get ready to complete the 1 lakh treee plantation program by 2016. so far in last 5 years we have planted/distributed 20,000 saplings covering more than 15 villages in Guntur, Prakasam districts.

3) Get more people involved from the Village to be part of Gramabharathi activities

4) The water tanker purchased in this year is being successfully used by the villagers in Jaladi for the occasional needs

5) Drilling of new bore and pipe line from Jaladi Lake to the water plant is being taken by Nimmla Sankara Rao with the help of Kandimalla Raghu to get funds from the AP government.

Things to be discussed:

1) Recap of our successful project for last year : Lake renovation in Jaladi, Purchase of Water tanker. How they are helping the villagers today?

2) This year projects: Immediate renovation of Water plant in Jaladi, continuation to our 1 Laksh tree plantation program with the help of Nagarjuna University students.

3) Remembering the donors of Water tanker. Plan of thanks giving to ITC Ltd. who did the Lake renovation

We owe ITC Ltd. and especially Mr. Venkata Ram Reddy Garu, General Manager, ITC for supporting us and we are planning to show them our spirit with beautifying the lake and have a thanks giving Beacon.

Gramabhrathi year 2015 updates and planned activity on 17th Sep, 2015

Hi All,

It has been a while posting the updates from Gramabharathi.

It does not mean we are inactive.

Following are the updates for the year of 2015:

1. Jaladi Lake has been renovated and riveted against cutting the road with most gracious help from ITC (Indian Tobacco Corporation)  Ltd. with approximate cost of 9 Lakh rupees (not able to imagine if we could able to do it with out ITC team and GRR uncle to persuade them)

2. Water Tanker to water the plants is procured already. Got donation of 1 Lakh rupees from Sri CV Mohan reddy, AP High court, who visited our village last year and inspired from our success stories and wish to do his part to keep the inspiration with us. Thanks to GRR uncle to follow him up and getting such a huge donation.  Another 1 Lakh rupees are to be requested from our gramabhrathi members whoever is interested and can have their/their beloved name on the water tanker permanently. Also plan in progress to procure a Tractor engine too.

3. More number of toilet construction in Jaladi village

4. Replaced the drinking water plant pump (that we have setup 4 years ago) of worth Rs. 20,000. Plan to be finalized to test the water from Lake (Kothuru well) and use it for filtration as the existing borewell is giving little hardened water and also  more villagers are requesting to use the lake water (Kothuru well)

What is next?

1. Coming week,  i.e. on 17th sep, 2015 to 20th sep, 2015, we will meet in Jaladi village (Ganesh festival too)
 

2. As discussed on 15th, august, 2015 Hyderabad meet all of our gramabharathi members will provide a representative from the village who can actively participate in our activities (for sure it will be with in their leisure time). This is very much important than any money contributions that we will be giving. we will setup one or two coordinator for each of our activities: sanitation, plantation, drinking water plant, education, solar lights, and others.

3.  Plan of action to put fencing to the lake where the lake has been renovated. As a token of return gift to ITC, we will be developing the green avenues in this area.  Also re enforce the fencing in multiple areas around the lake before we start make our lake a green hub and safe water zone for our  future true village generations. This is an estimated budget of 2 Lakh rupees and requesting our members to give monetary help like every year. we have 15 tree guards left from last year and we will set the up on lake area before we do the complete plantation which will be possible only after fencing

4. continuing the plantation as part of our 1 lakh plantation drive.

5. continue supporting other villages (this week edlapadu, one village from prakasam district) for plantation

6. Poster release on Plantation drive and our gramabharathi activities.

Hi All,

This is to inform you all that our gramabharathi is conducting swachh bharath for the said dates in jaladi village with 50 volunteers from NSS CR college students along with gramabharathi members.

activities:

1) cleaning premises of each and every  house in the Village. Inspiring them to do it on their own.

2) Campaign: toilet is first, temple later. Odd to hear, but it is truth to be digested.

[Do you know gramabharathi has provided extra  Rs. 1000 - Rs. 2500 incentive for those who have constructed toilets in 2014 as part of central govt. of India mission]

3) Door to Door campaign telling importance of growing plants, avoid using plastic (It is bad hearing most of the deaths now a days are due to cancer),
[Do You know in Chilakaluripet commissioner banner giving plastic carry  bags in shops, after more than 25 years, I am seeing the paper packaging, Kudos]

4) watering the plants in eluru  road, kopparru road, jaggapuram road

5) Cleaning common places

6) anticipated program of de-silt of watering body near church
