This is to inform you all that our gramabharathi is conducting swachh bharath for the said dates in jaladi village with 50 volunteers from NSS CR college students along with gramabharathi members.

1) cleaning premises of each and every house in the Village. Inspiring them to do it on their own.
2) Campaign: toilet is first, temple later. Odd to hear, but it is truth to be digested.

incentive for those who have constructed toilets in 2014 as part of
central govt. of India mission]
3) Door to Door
campaign telling importance of growing plants, avoid using plastic (It
is bad hearing most of the deaths now a days are due to cancer),
[Do You know in Chilakaluripet commissioner banner giving plastic carry bags in shops, after more than 25 years, I am seeing the paper packaging, Kudos]

gramabharathi october 18th and 19th plantation event
gramabharathi has done plantation event by planting/distributing 4000 saplings that are brought from kadiyam and kotappakonda forest nurseries:
events:
1) Jaggapuram high school, contact person Mrs. Neela Rani, Head of the School,
Also ZP vice chairman, Guntur Dt, Mr. Purna chandra Rao, who has promised to sanction half of the money to construct the compound wall to the school under a scheme where remaining half has to be paid by NRIs. (Requesting NRIs to come forward)
After active participation with school children, gramabharahti logo not books and fruits are distributed to the children.
2) Edlapadu Narayana School, contact person Mr. Venkateswarlu, school principal, who is in long term association with us for past 2 years and obsessed with plantation (check the school photos in our album) has participated in distribution of flower and fruit bearing saplings to school children.
3) Kasapuram, contact person Mr. Chintala, village sarpanch, Rotary club members, who has no other thought and not a position to be educated about the importance of plantation. They are just looking for a channel that is provided by Gramabharathi. Planted saplings on reoad sides and vacant places in the villages. co-ordinated by Mr. Ganesuni Chandra Sekhar
4) Addanki viswabharathi school, - Rally is performed in the town with the students carrying saplings in the hope of educating people.
5) Addanki gundlakamma re-rehabilitation colonies : Contact persons: rotary club and NTR trust activists.
The newly being constructed colonies and willing to take up the green challenge, Gramabhrathi joined hands to provide them the fruit bearing saplings

Quick update on gramabharathi 2014 event held on 19.07.2014 and 20.07.2014
Note:
We have new contributors for grambharathi organization
1)
Pavan Panguluri, UK - Siva Rajesh Cousin is willing to donate Rs,
20,000 distributed for next 4 years to gramabhrathi and wish to plant 3
saplings with the name of Venni, Ptanathi, and Siva Samved to show and
make them understand the importance of plants once they grow-up with
them - Thank you
2) Muddana Srinivasa Rao, Advocate from Vizag - Thank you
1) more than 800 people attended the morning event at Jaladi village, stage is set near library,
2) Some of the guests attended and got facilitated are:
High court justice Sri Kodandaram, Guntur District collecter Sri
Kantilal Dande, guntur district judge Sri S.M. Rafee, Guntur DFO, Ex
secretary General Sri C.V. Mohan Reddy, etc. ( We are trying to get
more attention towards gramabharathi to spread our ideals that can be of
similar interest to many people and also to get possible help from
government authorities)
Sri P Venkat Ram Reddy, GM, ITC could not make to attend the event. we have sent him our gramabharathi memento thanking him for their wilingness to contribute to our plantation event and agreed for de-silt of Lake in Jaladi village.
3) District collector assured us that he can do any sort of help for his next tenure of 3 years
4) NSS volunteers, Narayana school kids, local primary school kids, etc. are actively attended the event.
5) More than 1000 fruit bearing and flower
saplings are distributed for nominal prices (tried different approach
this year, charged Rs.10-30, to make sure they are planted and taken
care for sure) in the Jaladi village.
6) Distributed plants to Jaggapuram, Eluru, Karuchola, Inkollu, villages.
7) 100 tree guards are made with the cost of more than Rs. 70,000 ( 51 are deployed in Jaladi where they can be taken care by villagers for sure, 10 are sent to Jaggapuram, 2 are sent to Inkollu, 1 is sent to Nadendla Temple,others are ready to be installed)

expenditure and contributors lsit
For sure, we are taking more aggressive stand on gramabharathi activities for this year than any time before. No surprise, I may be posting bi-weekly updates on blog or sending updates by e-mail.

gramabharathi event updates for 19th and 20th July, 2014 program
Following are the updates for the scheduled gramabharathi program on 19th and 20th July, 2014:
Too many details to read, but how about we, gramabharathi team are implementing all of these, that will make your time to read all the below details:
1) around 2000 fruit bearing, shading, and flower plants being brought from Kadiyam to be distributed in Jaladi and surrounding villages.
varieties:
chickoo, anjeera, papaya, pomegranate, coconut, hybrid coconut, almond, curry leaf,
ganuga, teak, red sandal wood, tamarind, ashoka, aarkili, bogada, arke palms
rose, china rose, ganneru, nandi vardhanam
2) another ~2000 shading plants are being brought from forestry nurseries
3) Lake desilt in Jaladi being done with the help of well known corporate entity that will be
this will save the water bodies and help us to plant more saplings around the tree
4) woman empowerment: trainings will be given to Dwakra and other groups from public banks
5) >300 NSS students from Nagarjuna University are participating in the event
6) we will be planting the saplings in karuchola, eluru and Jaggapuram connecting roads again

7) well known personalities will be coming to Jaladi village giving us their message : Kodandaram Challa, Judge, High court, Venkat Ram Reddy K, GM, ITC , Sumanth, NSS chief of Nagarjuna University, guntur District Judge, Hon'ble District Collector (?), Andhra Bank Rural development Manager Sri Sudhakar, DFO (?), Trinath reddy from Mahabuh nagar who has dedicated his life for plantation, Rotary Club, and others
9) Yoga classes by MR. Nagaraju, on 19th July In Jaladi village to teach the preventive steps for common ailments in day to day life
10) Lunch for all the participants for 19th July (~400)
11) selected 10 members who is participating in plantation will be given with each Rs. 5000 for constructing toilets in their houses
12) two water tankers and tractors are available for 2 full days on 19th and 20th July
13) minimum 3 solar street lights will be installed at selected places in Jaladi
14) minimum of 50 iron fencing are being made to use them inside the village to protect plants

We are too much occupied with posters, flexi's pamphlets, collecting sticks to support the saplings, getting water tankers, arranging lunch, arrangement for felicitation of eminent persons visiting our village, collecting funds, etc. etc.
